today i came to deviantart after i dont know how many months to see 6000+ notifications its craazzyyyyy!!
i kind of felt bad that i was gone for so long especially since whatever i am now is all because of this website and the wonderful amazing people i've come to know and be friends with and just the sheer number of people i've been inspired by from here
but i felt like by being on here i was only posting to get views and favourites and comments nd not for the picture itself i was too driven by numbers i felt like i had to get away and then i started posting on my blog([link]) but even there i still worry about if anyone even looks at my pictures or how many hits i get per day. i seem to get carried away by meaningless numbers and even though, we all want to be appreciated, being a photographer, more so... i'm starting to feel like i shouldn't create art if its only for the sake of being liked or seen by someone else rather than for personal satisfaction.
i havent updated my blog for a while now. i haven't stopped taking pictures, i just dont feel like posting them anywhere.
i have made a flickr([link]) have a look if you wish to, it feels like im starting out as a photographer again because i dont have the support i had here or the somewhat popularity i got through my blog. maybe now i'll start believeing in photography again and doing it for the love of it.
i know this should probably be on a journal but i rarely read those myself anyway. this picture is similar to a self portrait i did last year. i re-did it because i was never satisfied and now im really happy with it.
ps: i've got a facebook (fan)page([link]) now it'd be great if you 'liked' it. im starting to try to make some money out of this whole photography thing so i made that page for people to know what i do and find me. so far its been great! i have 3 clients to shoot this halfterm and a wedding next month so im really pleased! (and excited oh yes!)
